Continuing Education & Client Service

For immediate release

As part of an ongoing commitment to remain current in legal matters pertinent to his clients, Robert J. Incollingo completed the Work Zone Safety Awareness Program on September 28, 2009, at the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation in Piscataway, New Jersey.

The Program is offered to participants who require an overview of highway construction safety issues. It covers:

    • Work zone safety compliance with the national Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards;
    • The roles of workers and enforcement personnel at work sites;
    • Differences between New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and local projects;
    • Legal responsibilities in roadway work zones.

The MUTCD establishes the national standards used by road managers to install and maintain traffic control devices on all streets and highways. A comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of roadway work zone safety standards is fundamental to successfully serving clients in the public construction industry.
