“Understanding D&O Exposures” CRIS Recertification

I just completed “Understanding D&O Exposures,” a course on the legal liability faced by corporate directors and officers, and renewed my certification as a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) through the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. for another year.  The online course addressed common law and statutory exposures, the situations that can give rise to claims, the legal defenses available when a claim is made, and methods of preventing and controlling claims against corporate directors and officers.  For me, this course was an update on corporate law, my favorite course in law school, and brought me current on major Federal legislation and landmark cases whose names I knew but whose content I only generally understood until now.  If you are looking to discuss appropriate methods of controlling D&O losses that pertain to corporate governance, I’m fresh on the topic.
