Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractor Licensing Act Takes Effect
For immediate release
Radical changes are on the way for the home improvement business in New Jersey. On January 8, 2024, the "Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractor Licensing Act" was signed into law. It repeals and replaces the Contractors’ Registration Act for the regulation of home improvement and home elevation contractors. A new oversight board, the New Jersey State Board of Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractors, has been given ten months to develop and issue regulations that will set ethical, education and experience standards for the licensing and conduct of home improvement and home elevation contractors, and financial security requirements for the registration of home improvement and home elevation businesses.
The Builders League of South Jersey will host Cherry Hill construction attorney and long-time BLSJ member Robert J. Incollingo, who will cover the highlights of the new law and answer your questions.
When: Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
