Moderator for Continuing Legal Education Seminar

South Jersey construction attorney Robert J. Incollingo has been selected by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the non-profit continuing education service of The New Jersey State Bar Association, Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey, and Seton Hall University, to moderate an upcoming seminar entitled, PRESENTING AND DEFENDING CONSTRUCTION CASES. Mr. Incollingo and other members of the distinguished panel of recognized New Jersey state construction law experts will present new material concerning the effective handling of construction cases, including:

  • Proving the case for contract damages – nonpayment, delay, substandard and unfinished work, and more
  • Business torts in construction cases – negligent failure to supervise, negligence outside the scope of work as a trigger to coverage, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, interference with contract, and more
  • Extra-contractual remedies on public projects – municipal mechanics liens, bond claims, statutory trusts, and more
  • Extra-contractual remedies on private projects – construction liens, bond claims, building trusts, and more
  • Overview of Federal projects – claims and remedies
  • Traps for the Unwary – election of remedies, lien enforcement deadlines, contractual limitations periods, overbroad releases and waivers, and more (Panel discussion)
